Our current exhibit:
Out of the Woods
Open now through February 7, 2020
“What you make from a tree should be at least as miraculous as what you cut down.”
This challenge that author Richard Powers delivers in The Overstory is certainly fulfilled in the newest show in The Gallery in the Loos Center for the Arts.
“Out of the Woods” features the varied and exquisite art of fifteen woodworkers and runs through February 7.
From tables to retablos, walking sticks to woodcuts, burls, bowls, sculptures, and stairways, our assembled artists demonstrate reverence and knowledge of wood. Also featured in the show are chairs, mirror frames, musical instruments, and functional kitchenware, and the art exhibited will be available for sale.
This gathering of artists in wood hail from northeastern Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Michigan.
Please mark your calendar for the closing celebration on February 7 starting at 6:00 PM, or email us using the button below to schedule your private viewing of this exhibit.
